Our cats never cease to entertain me. Yesterday I walked into the living room to find Minnie sleeping on the back of the couch in the pose you see above. Really? One would think there would be more comfortable ways to sleep. There was a time when she was little and she would sit on top of the couch, now as she has gotten older and a little wider, this appears to be one of her favourite ways of hanging out. (By the way, if you are wondering why her name is Minnie, look at the spot on her side for a clue).
On the other hand our youngest cat Micky has decided that certain chairs in the house belong to her. This is how I often find her, hanging over the arm of our office chair, watching birds and squirrels out of the patio door. Not a bad life!
I’m also quite fond of the “don’t leave for a second or I’ll take possession” tactic. Nick made the mistake of leaving the ladder unattended when we were painting the cottage and within minutes it had been claimed.
And sometimes they just find the closest comfy space to snuggle up for a good rest. But always a safe distance form each other!
Minnie has an obvious desire to paint ceilings. Perhaps you’ve discovered the next Michelangelo.

Wouldn’t that be nice! But I suspect if that really was the case the ceiling would be painted with mice, birds and squirrels!
